A overview of the Mud Toy 4x4 Club and what we are currently working on..

Mud Toy 4x4 club promoting public land for public use in Western Washington. Since July 2, 2002

Our Club Has currently been working on the East Jefferson County OHV Park.Which would be a trail system. Pretty much since we founded our club .We have came a long way with this project and are very excited to have alot of the paperwork out of our way. Update for all who have been on our site or our new to this website we have acomplished getting a grant for a feasibility study and will have more to report in two weeks ( updated March 23,06) We have been working hard on this project and thing's our going very well we have been to many meeting's and have officialy hired a land consultanting firm to assist us with the project and the focus group with this project.

Newest update November 9th,2006  The OHV project is still working on it's feasiblity study we have been attending focus group meeting's, workshops, openhouse meeting's with the public and working with our land consultant. On November 7th we spent the day at Tauhya State Forest with some of the people opposing this OHV project to give them the opportunity to ride along in some 4x4's through the desugnated trail system. We also had DNR on site to answer  questions and some other Club's from washington state there to help out. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to be there and learn more about 4x4 recreation.

The Feasibility study is now complete. Copies are available at the Jefferson County Public Works office in Port Townsend Washington Be sure if you get a copy of the study to ask for a copy of the final presenation and cost estimates that was done by the consultant for this project .

For further information about this project please feel free to send us an email.

This is updated information about the OHV project For East Jefferson County the project feasibitlity study did show the need for the OHV park and you can get copies of the study at the Jefferson county Public works office in Port townsend wa.. However the county commisioners denied the project after supporting the study to see if it was feasible to do. They wasted alot of time by those on the focus group and other volunteers as well we hope that this may be revisted in the future and that we will be able to get the county commisioners and the parks and rec department to make some needed changes on this matter so that the youth and adults that do this from of recreation will get the oppotunities they deserve to do the form of outdoor family recreation they have done for so many years already in a safe and designated location in East Jefferson County.. We are about saftey and education of four wheel drive vehichles and about supporting outdoor family recreation...

If you would like to know more about this project you can send us e-mail at mudtoy4x4club@cablespeed.com
